Spencer started baseball and Josey wanted to play baseball just like her brother (since everything she does has to be just like him!) She just missed the age cut off for t-ball through the city parks department, so we did “Itty-Bitty T-Ball” through the rec center. She wanted a glove like Spencer had, but it had to be PINK…no suprise there! We took her to the local sports store and let her pick out her glove, then the fun started! She learned how to through, hit and run around the bases. She’s a good little batter and can hit it off the tee both left and right handed. Spencer cheered her on and “helped” her warm up by playing catch with her. So fun to watch them together! She really wants to be just like her big brother!
He is Risen!! Happy Easter
Easter is one of my favorite times of year! I love the rebirth of the world that comes with Spring, the beautiful flowers that are blossoming, the remembering of Jesus Christ and what he went through for each of us. We spent the week starting with Palm Sunday and going over the last week of Jesus’ life. My kids loved it and we really remembered the spirit of what this holiday is all about!
That being said, the Easter Bunny still came to our house, we decorated Easter eggs, went and saw Hop yesterday, and had a wonderful Easter season! I love the wonder of little children and the joys that the season brings. It was delightful seeing them hunt for their Easter eggs, watching the girls wear their beautiful dresses that I made for them and feel especially to feel the love of my Savior and all He did for me! Happy Easter everyone!
He Loves Me!
He loves me, he loves me not? He definitely LOVES me! Spencer sure loves his baby sister! He can’t get enough of her! He loves to hold her, feed her, hug her, and especially make her laugh! He gets diapers and wipes for her, and will do just about anything for her…it’s a good thing that she can’t talk yet to request things of him! I love that he loves Isabelle so much!
An Unexpected Visit…Hooray!
I got a phone call from one of my best girlfriends saying she was going to be in town and wanted to get together…so of course I said YES! Janet, Julia and I have been going to lunch monthly since starting Mary Kay over 10 years ago. When Janet moved her family to Southern Arizona, I cried! She is an incredible woman that fills my heart with joy! It was fun spending 2 hours with her and her cute girls and to show off our baby girl with her! The kids had fun playing and we had fun catching up with each other. Man I miss her smiling face!
Good Bye 2010…it’s been nice knowing ya!
Our Annual New Year’s Eve Party was a crazy as ever! We had Greg & Melissa Lawson and Ari; Jared & Racquel Hutchings and Kira & Olivia; Marcy & Scott Condie and Jacen, Brady, Luke, Cade, & Calli; Mike & Jaime Ward and Ryan, Cameron, Emily & Gavin; Neal & Stacy Stoddard and Bo & Tyson; and Us…That’s 12 adults and 17 children in our TINY house! Can you say CRAZY??!!!?! But it was fun! We had good food: my homemade mozzarella sticks, Barbara’s cheese ball, Jalapeno Jelly, Melissa’s Thai Eggrolls, Chocolate Brownie Mousse, cookies, apples and dip, bacon wrapped shrimp, wings, a veggie tray and I made cherry limeade…way too yummy! We played games, the kids ran wild, we talked and had lots of fun!
