At Spencer’s school in order to dress up they have to choose a character from any book off of the classical literature list, so Spencer chose Duke for President from the delightful children’s book title the same thing. He was so cute, but shed like crazy thanks to the boa I used to make his feather wings.

Half way through our neighborhood trick or treating Spencer decided he was done and wanted to go home, but Josey didn’t so Bo Peep (that was me) took my sheep and we hit about 15 more houses before heading home.  When we got there, Josey bragged about her haul of candy, and Spencer had told Daddy that he was done because candy isn’t good for you and will give you a tummy ache if you eat to much and he already had enough in his bag!  Chris then looked at me and said, “You are ruining our kids!”  I thought to myself, at least he’ll be healthy! :)   Happy Halloween!

Time for some SMORES! http://kissandfell.com/2011/09/13/fall-is-in-the-air-time-for-some-smores/ http://kissandfell.com/2011/09/13/fall-is-in-the-air-time-for-some-smores/#comments Tue, 13 Sep 2011 06:20:42 +0000 Michelle http://kissandfell.com/?p=1042 Continue reading »]]> Tonight was the first night that it really felt like Fall to me.  I love FALL!!  I love the crisp evenings and mornings.  I love the change in the color of the leaves.  I love curling up with a blanket.  I love getting my sweaters out.   I love fires on evenings like this.  My kids do too!  They jumped on the trampoline and waited for the fire to be ready.   Spencer is a pyro just like his dad.  I do not know of any little boys who don’t want to see what will burn in a fire!  Josey just wants to sit and eat the marshmallows without even roasting them.  Izzy just wants to eat them and enjoyed every sticky, gooey bite of her very own smore.  Spencer just wanted to keep the fire going so he could roast some more mallows.  I love these darling messy, sticky faces!

As we were eating breakfast that morning, she says to her dad, “I am so excited to ride in your Jeep to school!”  We both looked at each other and wondered how to let her know that Daddy had to take Spencer to school and then go give blood and go to work and wouldn’t be taking her.   In her mind Dad was the one who took to school!  Before I could say anything and let the disappointment set in, Daddy said he would come back and take her to ABC Preschool for her very first day.  She was so excited! 

Off she went, without one tear, to experience this thing called school.  When I picked her up afterwards, she couldn’t stop talking about it!  She loved every minute of it. 

To celebrate her first day I told her she could choose where she wanted to go to lunch.  She chose “Panda Bears” aka Panda Express so over orange chicken we talked all about her day!  Her teacher Annette Carroll is AMAZING and I am so excited to see what she experiences this year!

Oh boy, OH BOY!  Josey has been “acting” like a 3 year old for several months now and all she wanted for her birthday was “beautiful princess hair” so I spent the weekend before her birthday putting in her extensions.  When we were finished, she definitely DID NOT look like my baby girl…she is a full on 3 year old with the attitude of a 13 year old!  She gives us all a run for our money!  And man can she give you “the look”, get the swagger going and put that hand on her pushed out hip quicker than quick…but she is such a blast!

She is all girl!  She loves everything and anything that has to do with princesses and fairies and the color pink.  She loves to sing and dance.  When I showed her the Princess Tiana cake I was working on for her birthday, she just said, “She’s be-u-tiful!”  The smile says it all and that’s what makes it worth it!  I love my feisty, boisterous, charming, cuddly, sensitive little girl!  She amazes me every day! 

There are no little girls in our neighborhood that are her age, but Emily and Cali are definitely her little buddies so we had a Tea Party Luncheon at a local bakery and had the “Cinderella” cake for dessert.  They each got a mini-me dolly, a tiara and a wand and came dressed in their favorite princess dress.  They were all so cute and we had so much fun (moms included)!
