1st Day of Preschool! 2009-2010

Spencer started a new year of preschool. After much debate, a ton of research and prayers and fasting we decided to do one more year of preschool before Spencer goes into Kindergarten. When people find out he is 5 and ask if he is in Kindergarten, he says matter of factly, “Nope, I am doing one more year of preschool.” As a parent, I hope I have made the right decision to have him do one more year of preschool and go into Kindergarten as the oldest in his class instead of the youngest.

All that being said, he is so excited about school this year. He is going to ABC Preschool with his little buddies, Kira & Olivia Hutchings. Chris was home to go with us for his first day, which he loved, but Josey cried the whole way home wanting Spencer. It was really sweet! He is growing so fast I can’t hardly believe that he is 5 now. This year promises to be a year of adventure…can’t wait to see him learn and grow!

Andrew is one of the oldest in his class and it is a good thing–have you read the book Outliers? After reading that book, I think there are advantages of being older. Andrew is really thriving and loves Kindergarten.

  2. Crystal

Dylan has always loved Spencer! How fun that they’ll start Kindergarten together!

  3. Misty

I did the same thing with Brody, and I haven’t regretted it yet. It has made a big difference with him. He is progressing so much quicker, he isn’t the smallest kid or youngest in his class. I think you will see a big difference when he starts kindergarten next year!
