A full Day with Dad
So Spencer and Chris had the annual Fathers & Sons campout with church. They went up American Fork Canyon and played in the dirt…they came home filty, but had lots of fun with the other boys and dads. They went hiking and heard some rustling in the bushes, and he said the Chris, “Dad let’s go, that’s really freakin me out!” He also got to roast a hotdog over the fire and informed me that he burned it black and it tasted sooo good!

After they got home and cleaned up, they went to the Monster Truck show in SLC. Spencer LOVED it! He said, “There were all these really loud trucks driving over the smashed cars, it was cool Mom!”

Boys will be boys and boys never really grow up!
I love my boys, oh and I loved dinner at Flour Girls and Doughboys with Josey and the 14 pages that I got to srapbook while they were gone!
Joe’s Valley, UT with my Fam!
Mom and Dad were in Florida for 6 weeks and so to celebrate the end of Summer, their arrival home and just a good excuse to get together, we all met at my sister’s cabin in Joe’s Valley. Joe’s Valley is a hidden gem in the Mid-Eastern part of Utah, south of Price. It is beautiful there, but it seems that not many people know about it. We drove up in the motorhome with Grandma and Grandpa Teeter which Spencer thought was the coolest thing next to sliced bread!
Dave and RayNette Atkinson (old family friends) towed the wheelers up and we met Heather and her gang up there. We spent 2 days 4wheeling all over the place which was a total blast.

We went on an adults only 5 hour ride up to the ridge and the wildflowers were all abloom and breathtaking! We stayed up totally late talking and playing cards (had to teach my siblings how to play Canasta and Back Alley) while the kids played themselves ragged, hence the picture of Spencer totally DONE and crashed amidst the Legos. It was great being with my family and just relaxing and having fun!

Camping @ Lawson Springs, WY

So our best friends, the Lawsons, bought property last October near Kemmerer, WY out in the middle of nowhere and have raved about how beautiful it is for months now, but had yet to invite us to visit. We finally got the invite. As we were planning our yearly camping trip…Greg piped up and said that we were going to the cabin for our camping this year. So off to Wyoming we went…2 1/2 hours of driving through sage brush and nothing you wonder if they are off their rockers, but out of nowhere this oasis pops up and really is breathtaking. Shocking for WY…a state whose state flower is the sagebrush…j/k!
We spent two night there with no agenda…it was heaven! Spencer fished in the big pond and caught a fish the first cast out. We 4wheeled til we were sick of it, going off the jump near the entrance was Spencer’s favorite thing to do. Even Josey loved 4wheeling and would say, “go wheelin’” and point to the 4wheelers. We ate too much good food(gourmet for camping) and played games until late into the night! We even made the guys watch Lorna Doone with us.
Chris and I slept in the “tree room” because when you turn the lights out you can see the tips of the pine trees swaying in the breeze and the sky full of glittering stars…so beautiful! Ari, Spencer and Josey all slept in the same room and it was hilarious to listen to them at night before they went to bed. Josey would say Ari’s name over and over again until Ari would answer and Spencer and Ari would giggle. I love that they all get along so well together!
Greg and Chris went on a two hour ride up to the ridge and after they came back Melissa and I went for a walk down to the old beaver dam and teepee and took some fun pictures of the two of us. One of my favorite things was when we would ride the 4 wheelers down the tiny road underneath a canopy of huge pine and aspens there were butterflies that would flit across the road and rest on the wildflowers. What a relaxing trip and so fun to hang out with our friends in their own little oasis in the middle of nowhere!
Lil’ Miss Sassy Pants
So Josey has been lovingly nicknamed “Sassy Pants” because she is so sassy! This series of pictures (that Spencer captured unbeknownst to me) shows her attitude so perfectly right now. She pulls the most hilarious faces and isn’t afraid to fight back if necessary…

Spencer is 5!!!!!!
Wow…where did the time go? I cannot believe that our little buddy is 5! He wanted a Batman Water Birthday party with his friends, so that is what he got! Complete with batman capes and masks for everyone, superhero training, good eats and of course the water slide and mini pool. The kids had fun and Spencer loved every minute!
He loves all things Batman…his batcave, Lego Wii Batman, well really anything superhero-ish like Transformers and Ben10. He is such an energetic thing! Busy…from the moment he gets up in the morning until he drops into bed at night, sometimes really late at night! He loves riding his bike around the neighborhood and has lots of little friends he loves playing with. He says the funniest things and cracks us up on a daily basis! One of his new favs is: “No can do crackerjack!” whenever we want him to do something he doesn’t want to do.
