Okay, so do you ever have those days/weeks where you have great intentions and then LIFE happens?  It was one of those weeks for me!  I don’t exactly know where all the time went, but here we are another week and a half gone and I am just now getting to my blog at 12:30 in the morning.  I just finished tackling my mountain of paperwork that has been growing and growing for months now…can I just say, “I HATE PAPERWORK!!!”

Josey is now signing “more” and “milk” and is so cute doing it!  We just had her 9 month doctor appointment and she is healthly and growing huge!  She is 20 1/2 lbs and 29 inches long.  She is in the 72nd and 85th percentiles for weight and height.  She is tall and skinning and absolutely amazing!  Her smile lights up the room!

Spencer is my stinker!  No, really!  He is 4 and is testing every boundary out there and falls to pieces when I enforce the consequences.  He is cute however, which is a redeeming quality, thank goodness.  He has been by my side and wants to help with everything from cooking to taking care of Josey.  He is a really great big brother and LOVES his baby sister!  He will take off across the street without telling me (it is a good thing we live in a quiet neighborhood) to visit “the girls” (Kira and Olivia).  They are his little buddies and he tells me all the time, “I have to go mom, the girls NEED me!”

Chris and I went on a date last Saturday…that hasn’t happened in quite a while!  We went and got pictures taken of just the two of us…it was like taking engagement pictures all over again–way fun!  Then we went to dinner at a fancy restaurant.  It was a treat to carry on a conversation without screaming and crying at the dinner table!  I love this amazing man that I married!  He drives me crazy and brings me so much joy all in the same day!  He is incredible!

My Kids!

Okay, so I know that every parent is proud of their kids, but mine are exceptionally cute!  Pictures are always a challenge, but for one moment the planets aligned and these turned out remarkable.  They capture my adorable children that I love so much!  I am always amazed and in awe with them.  I am grateful and overjoyed for their birthmoms and the love they showed and the gift they gave to us.  I cannot believe how blessed my life is because of them and these to magnificent children!  (Is that enough mushiness for everyone?–I really do adore them!)

This captured his personality to a tee!

It shows his mischieviousness and fun-loving spirit!

He is a delight!

Could Josephine be any more darling?

She was just a little cutie with the photographer!

Okay, so I have been getting some slack from people for not having my blog updated in several weeks!  LIFE is so BUSY right now, not that that is any excuse, but it is the way it is!  This has been the last thing on my list of stuff to do…and come the end of the day, it is still on my list.   Also check out the updated Photos in My Albums…some cute pictures!

We have had a great Summer filled with swimming lessons for Spencer, camping with friends, cabining with my sister and parents, playing in the water, starting soccer, eating popsicles, and having FUN!

Spencer and his swim lessons, where he learned to kick and paddle his arms so he moves all of 6 inches under the water…but a HUGE accomplishment from the start when he freaked out getting his ears and face wet!  It was a fun 2 weeks of lessons.   He has just started Pre-K soccer, which as a parent is hilarious to watch, and loves his new shin guards that “look like batman shields” as he calls them and knocks on them and says it doesn’t hurt.  He is so invincible it is scary!

Josey just got tooth number 6 (4 on the bottom and 2 on the top) and is crawling around like crazy!!!  She just started pulling herself up on things and will walk along the couches now.  She has the sweetest personality and is such a joy!  Her calmness makes up for Spencer’s craziness!  She loves to hug her Pooh Bear and play with her baby doll.
