Summer is in full force and we have been insanely busy, hence the two weeks since my last post!  We are having such a fun summer!  Spencer is in the middle of swimming lessons and LOVING every minute of it!  He is so proud of himself because he can put his whole head under the water holding his breath! (a huge improvement since last year he wouldn’t even get his ears or face wet!)  He spends most of his time outside riding his bike and eating popsicles.  Josey is growing like CRAZY!  She is 8 1/2 months now and crawling all over the place getting into everything she possibly can.  She has found her voice and uses it like crazy!…especially on Sundays at church!  She’s in the middle of getting 2 more bottom teeth and is a bear…and likes to use those teeth on the shoulders and legs of unsuspecting people!  What fun!  Thank goodness for water to play in, shade to hide in, popsicles to eat, and air conditioning when it is just too hot!  Happy Summer everyone!

So our little guy is 4 years old!  He wanted to have a “water birthday” for his party.  We filled up our huge water slide, got goggles and water guns for all the kids that came, and had a sunshine birthday cake (as per Spencer’s request)!  The kids had a blast throwing water balloons at everyone and everything and getting the adults soaked!  It was an all around good time!  Check out the pictures of Spencer’s Birthday in the albums!

We had a really relaxed 4th this year…no getting up early to see the hotair balloons, no parade (although the temp was perfect for the parade this year!), just our neighborhood bbq and fireworks (that Chris and Spencer chose together), oh yes, and weeding our out of control garden.  We had a really nice day spending time together!

Okay, so I just couldn’t resist putting this picture in!  Josey is quite the determined little girl.  She loves anything techie-ish…the camera, the cell phone, the tv remotes…and tries everthing in her power to get them in her chubby little hands!  Love the determination!
