After a crazy busy week, we decided to do absolutely nothing that needed to be done in the yard or with the house on Saturday and took off up the canyon.  We are so lucky to have the American Fork Canyon a short 10 minutes from us.  We packed a picnic lunch and went for a drive to get out of the 90 degree weather and found cooler temps, a beautiful swift moving river (odd for the end of June in Utah), and fun just relaxing and spending time together!  Spencer loved mucking in the dirt and climbing the “HUGE” rocks around our picnic area.  He had fun hunting for bugs and watching the butterflies.  When we got home we spent the rest of the afternoon playing with friends in their kiddy pool to cool off and enjoy nothingness!  You gotta love the lazy days of Summer!
