Spencer LOVES water…He splashes in the bird’s water dish…he splashes in the dog’s water dish…he splashes in the tub…he splashes at the pool…he even splashes in very cold right out of the hose water. Our friends gave us this little wading pool. Spencer pulls it down away from the house, gets the hose and puts it in the pool waiting for the water to come. He will climb right in, even when there is only 1/4 inch of water…HE DOESN’T CARE, it’s WATER!!!!

I was headed to Omaha, Nebraska for my friend Alana’s wedding. To get a reasonable price on my airfare, I had to fly in a day early. While looking at a map I realized that I was a short car drive across the state of Iowa to Nauvoo, Illinois. I have never been to Nauvoo and decided if I was going to be that close I had to do it…so I DID!!! It took me 5 hours to drive to Nauvoo. I went to a show that night and then I got up early the next morning and went to the temple in the morning. I spent a few hours after that in Nauvoo going to the historic sites as you will see in the pictures. I could have spent TONS more time there but I had to hop back in the car and drive back to Omaha for a pre wedding BBQ that night. The wedding was fun…The midWest is HOT and HUMID and has really HUGE BUGS—ick!!! I was so glad that I did it!
