Happy 8th Anniversary!Chris and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary on April 26th. Steve and Lorna took Spencer overnight so we could have a night away. We went to Salt Lake and stayed at the Hotel Monaco, an art deco style hotel, it was beautiful! We went to dinner at a little Italian restaurant called Al Forno’s and then went to a play at the Off Broadway Theatre. They brought us breakfast in bed! The pancakes were delicious and the fresh fruit was yummy! Grandma and Grandpa Teeter survived their night…although they are glad they are not raising children now…they were tired out by the next afternoon. It took both of them to feed Spencer his food! Grandpa held his hands while Grandma shoveled it in! They loved every minute of it!

My First Steps

Taking the first steps is always the hardest…once that happens a whole new world is opened up. Spencer has been so close for so long! He would stand up holding onto nothing for a while, then it happened! He took those first steps!!! They were tentative, but check out the reaction on his face of how proud he was!

Our Trip to Ohio

Our visit to Ohio was an adventure! Spencer and Michelle went to visit the Powells all by themselves. We were preparing for the worst, but it turned out just great! Spencer was wonderful on the airplane! Everyone around us was so friendly and helpful! We were very fortunate. I am amazed that there are still very nice people in this world! We had a wonderful visit with all of Chris’ family in Ohio. Grandma B and Papa were thrilled to have Spencer with them for a week!

We celebrated Haley’s 2nd Brithday and so all the family got together. Spencer loved playing with all of his cousins! Matt and Mitchell were so good with Spencer and he loved it! We also had the opportunity to visit Michelle’s Uncle Curt and Aunt Florence. They loved Spencer. He showed off for them! It was fun to spend time with our family there!
While we were gone, Chris decided to surprise us with new Pergo floors in the kitchen and dining room. He and Kevin worked their hands and knees off to finish it by the time we got home on Monday. They got it done at 9 pm and our flight came in at 10pm. Talk about a close call! It is beautiful though and I was very surprised!
There are new pictures in the April 2005 link…Check them out!

It is always hard to realize that another year has come and gone. We don’t feel any older, but sure notice how our life changes over the course of a year! Happy Birthday to Michelle! Chris orchestrated a dinner at Michelle’s family’s home on Sunday night. Chris made a lasagne, Michelle’s dad made a lasagne, and Chris made the cakes–yes, 2 cheesecakes. Very yummy! Spencer thought the candles…and the cake were pretty neat! Then on Monday, Chris took Michelle to PFChangs for dinner while Kevin babysat Spencer and had to change his first diaper ever! He did great! It was a great birthday!
